ABOUT HRR GHANA
Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) is a frontline civil society organization dedicated to advancing human dignity, social justice, democratic accountability, and inclusive development in Ghana, across Africa, and globally.
For over a decade, HRRG has empowered women, children, youth, rural communities, and other marginalized populations to claim their rights, engage decision-makers, and participate meaningfully in governance processes.
Key thematic areas of work include:
Child protection and child labour
Women’s rights and gender justice
Land, environmental, and climate justice
Civic space protection, policy advocacy, and access to justice for marginalized communities
Investigative journalism, research and documentation on human rights and governance issues
Training and capacity building for civil society actors, journalists, and community leaders

HRRG also convenes and supports over 500 civil society organizations through the Ghana Civil Society Organizations Platform on the SDGs and has represented Ghana at major global and continental platforms, including the International Seminar on Enhancing Human Rights Activities in North Korea, the UN Political High-Level Forum and the Pan-African Human Rights and Social Justice Conference
