    JOSEPH KOBLA WEMAKOR is a multiple award-winning Journalist, a cheerful public speaker, a blogger and a staunch human rights activist. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Ghana’s most powerful news portal, Ghananewsone.com. He also currently holds the position as the Deputy Head of Media and Communications of the PLO Lumumba Foundation, Ghana Chapter, an NGO with its headquarters in Nairobi (Kenya), which seeks to nurture young African leaders, imbibe in the youth with the spirit of Pan Africanism, among others.

     

    Joseph has served the US Peace Corps Volunteers, the United Nations Information Centre, Accra Department of Global Communications and the UNFPA including hosts of CSOs, NGOs and International Organization working in the country to end Child Trafficking/Modern Slavery among others in the country as a Human Rights reporter and activists for over a period of nine (9) years. Upon realization that majority of the fundamentals human rights of Ghanaians are being abused on daily basis, he saw the need to establish the Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) to assist further in defending the rights of the abused and the less privileged in our society.
