Our Projects

At Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG), our projects are carefully designed to address pressing human rights issues through advocacy, investigative journalism, research, and community engagement.

We implement targeted, impact-driven initiatives that promote justice, protect vulnerable populations, and strengthen civic participation across Ghana and beyond. Our work focuses on exposing human rights violations, supporting victims, and pushing for accountability and systemic change.

Our projects span key areas including child protection and child labour, women’s rights and gender justice, climate justice and land rights, safe migration and anti-human trafficking, civic space protection, and access to justice for marginalized communities.

Through initiatives such as our Nationwide Sensitization Campaign on Kidnapping, Teenage Pregnancy and Tramadol/Drug Abuse (KTT Project) and the Safe Migration Ghana Project (SMGP), HRRG continues to lead efforts in raising awareness, empowering communities, and responding to urgent human rights concerns affecting young people and vulnerable groups.

As part of its participation at Rights Con 2026, convened by Access Now, Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) will host a high-level dialogue session titled “Silenced Twice: Press Freedom and Disability Voices Under Threat in Africa.” The session brings together global voices from journalism, law, environmental advocacy, and public health to explore the intersection of press freedom, disability inclusion, and civic participation across Africa and beyond.

Campaign Against Corporal Punishment in Schools (CACPS)

The Campaign Against Corporal Punishment in Schools (CACPS) is a child protection advocacy initiative by Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) aimed at eliminating corporal punishment and all forms of abuse in educational institutions. Despite growing awareness of child rights, corporal punishment remains prevalent in many schools, creating environments that undermine children’s dignity, safety, and ability to learn effectively. These practices often lead to physical harm, emotional distress, and long-term psychological effects on students.
